When Barack Obama tells Americans we'll all have to begin 'tightening our belts,' he probably wasn't directing his order at Cabinet officials when they're flying high at taxpayers expense!
United States Attorney General Eric Holder
Mandatory budget cuts will make Americans less safe.  “This is something that is going to have an impact on the safety of this country.  The Justice Department is going to lose nine percent of its budget between now and September 30th. We’re going to lose $1.6 billion."

And here's the proverbial kicker.   Holder laments his heartbreaking news that, "There are not going to be as many FBI agents, ATF agents, DEA agents, prosecutors who are going to be able to do their jobs,” he added. “They’re going to be furloughed."

Meanwhile, as reported at the Daily Caller, "a Government Accountability Office report  reveals that the Justice Department has spent $11.4 million to fly the Attorney General and FBI director on FBI luxury jets for travel unrelated to the agency’s mission."
However, the DOJ  insists, "The Department’s national security mission necessitates the communications and range capabilities of the Department’s Gulfstream V aircraft, which are essential for certain overseas operations.”
 $11.4 Million
to fly
another really, really important government hack
from here to there.  Really!

Incidentally, we failed to mention, the Gulfstream V aircraft price tag can range between $45 to $70,000,000.00 (and yes, those zeros represent millions of dollars. **
When YOU and YOUR POLITICAL CRONIES  get serious about cutting government waste,

*Photos of Gulfstream V shown here only represent examples of this aircraft.
**From Wikipedia -- "The purchase price of a new Gulfstream G550 ranges from (USD) $45,000,000.00 to $70,000,000.00 and could be much higher depending on numerous configurations, options, paint and such. Variable operating costs (Fuel, Maint, Trip expenses) are around $2,300.00 per hour while overall ownership expenses (including maintenance, storage, crew costs and insurance) could be around $600,000 per year. This does not include costs for periodic maintenance procedures such as $1,000,000.00 for an engine rebuild, $ 200,000.00 for a paint job or $300,000.00 if you want your interior refitted."
