"I'm fine with others sharing the story. I want people to really
understand the cost of what we're doing. And if anyone challenges you on
it, I've hidden nothing. I'll stand by the story because it's true." -- clconnett
".....my family was able to save my mother from going suicidal due to hospital lockdown. However, just yesterday my father (74) was finally able to see his wife of 50 years (Oct.10 is their anniversary) after over 6 weeks of only seeing her on an iPhone. What he found out has devastated my family. My mother was so neglected that she has lost use of her arms.
This is what the panic porn producers have done to my family. An incomplete quadriplegic who retained use of her biceps for 36 years after her injury now has frozen and locked joints from her shoulders down because she was rendered effectively immobile for nearly 7 weeks. The man who provided her with care every single day of those 36 years was forbidden from visiting his wife out of fear he might have a cold. And now, what freedom she was able to enjoy, feeding herself, moving her phone, even using a special apparatus to do a little typing, has been stripped from her.
I'm posting this here because I want as many people as possible to know the actual human cost of these orders. Don't ever try to justify these isolation orders to me unless you're willing to look me in the eye and tell me that you're okay with my mother losing the quality of life we fought for 36 years to keep for her. Don't attempt to justify the gross overreaction that destroyed her life and likely hundreds of thousands more. The death numbers aren't the whole story, as bad as they are, they are only the tip of the iceberg.
Those who pushed fear have killed people, destroyed lives, and pushed more than we'll ever know into poverty. In the case of my family, my wife and I have decided to make the sacrifice to have my parents move in with us. Now we'll drain our savings and buy a larger house to make sure my mother is comfortable and surrounded by her grandchildren for whatever time she has left. How many don't have that luxury? How many can say, "Well, we can afford to double our mortgage payment, it will just be a little more difficult and mean we're giving up early retirement."
So, yes, I'm angry. If you aren't angry at what millions have lost, you're not paying attention. What has been done to us by our fellow countrymen is evil. Those who said, "But these mandates are to protect people!" are blind fools. I'm sharing my story, but how many of the covid-dead couldn't share about how depression, neglect, and fear drove them to death? How many will never know that the pain of poverty is because some white collar executive felt the need to feel safe from the flu?"
