"I Never Cared, Until..."

  ... elected and un-elected zealots took advantage of their lucrative positions and started interfering with my rights as an American citizen.  

AND I never cared, until elected representatives abused the powers given to them by we the people; making themselves and their families and cronies wealthy in the process.

I never cared, because the founders of this great Republic put a system of checks and balances in place to prevent criminal abuses of power we are witnessing here and across the United States of America.

You see, I never cared because...

     As a 'color blind' American.  

     As a normal everyday person who simply wants to live my life free, as declared at the moment of this Country's founding.  

     As a parent who just wants to see our kids enjoy the freedoms we were so fortunate to inherit.   

     And as a Veteran who stepped forward to defend the honor and integrity of this America the Beautiful, my fellow patriots and I, expect nothing less from those elected representatives we have entrusted to live up to the same oath we took, with millions giving up their lives, fulfilling their promise to defend this nation from all enemies, both foreign AND domestic.

     A vast majority of Americans now believe many of our elected representative--Executive, Legislative and Judicial ARE the new enemies of the people.  

     An Anonymous Contributor submitted the following.  These are not my words, but they wouldn't be here if I disagreed with the author.

  "I never cared what color you were if you were a good person - until you started blaming me for your problems! 

--I never cared about your political affiliation - until you started to condemn me for mine! 

--I never cared where you were from in this great Republic - until you began condemning people based on where they were born and the history that makes them who they are.

--I have never cared if you were well off or poor because I've been both - until you started calling me names for working hard and bettering myself.

--I've never cared if your beliefs are different than mine - until you said my beliefs are wrong! 

--I never cared if you were "gay" or whatever acronym you chose to call yourself - until you started shoving it down my throat.   

--I've never cared if you don't like guns - until you tried to take my guns away!

 Now I care. 

--I've given all the tolerance I have to give.  This is no longer my problem.  It's your problem.  You can still fix it.  It's not too late.  But it will be.  Soon.

--I'm a very patient person at times.  But now I'm out of patience. There are literally tens of millions of people just like me that are sick of all your Anti-American crap!

--I've always cared about life,  and ALL lives, but now you try to force the notion on me and my other fellow citizens that certain lives matter more than others.  

--You protest, riot, attack, burn and loot.  Your so-called "movement" has become a radical out-of-control bunch of thugs, criminals and anarchists who are doing harm to our country!

 We have had enough! 

     America is the greatest country on Earth and if you don't like America then you can leave!  We are done caring about your misguided "feelings!"

     You don't have the right to enjoy American freedoms if you are trying to take that right away from other Americans!"

A final thought

     You probably never could have imagined this day would arrive, when most of the preceding words,  many believe are describing our elected and un-elected officials in Washington DC, currently in the process of destroying our way of life and liberty.

     Zealots such as Nancy Pelosi, unfortunately have forgotten one very important detail surrounding her 'right and privilege' to be OUR public servant--You are a guest in OUR Capitol building.

  You, and your 535 colleagues are tenants in this edifice which serves as a reminder of those many patriots who worked so diligently to make the United States of America, one of the greatest nations to ever exist on this planet.

     Let us hope and pray, yes PRAY that the American people never again make the same mistake of sending self-serving narcissist to represent and forge our future.
