When I was a kid, growing up in a small town just a few miles from Scranton Pennsylvania (around the same time as Dumb Ass #2), there were probably more Catholic Churches in that area than Joey could count to by the time he reached fifth grade.
Today, the few Catholic Churches remaining, are scattered between aging coal mining towns which witnessed their hey-day snuffed out sometime in the last century, despite sitting on top of billions of anthracite-rich black 'gold.' Not enough priests, and quite frankly, not enough parishioners, leaving people scratching their heads, perplexed by the disappearance of both. God forbid they might consider 'giving up' their cherished Democrat Party.
When the Catholic Church of America crawled in bed with a Socialist leaning Democratic Party, they might as well have signed their own death warrant.
