Avoiding an ouster by Congressional colleagues, Speaker John Boehner will resign, AND get out of 'Dodge.'

Irony

According to published reports at the New York Times, "Boehner, will resign one of the most powerful positions in government AND give up his House seat at the end of October."(Our Emphisis)

The 65-year-old Ohio Republican's leadership has been under siege, almost since the day he accepted the gavel from his Democratic counterpart, Nancy Pelosi.  Word around Congressional water coolers was that the embattled Speaker's days were numbered.  Don't allow anyone to tell you otherwise, this guy saw the writing on the wall, and realized he did not possess necessary backing to continue in his leadership role.  However, and what is surprising about this sudden move, is his decision to relinquish his position in Congress altogether.

The looming question now has to be....who will succeed Boehner as Speaker of the House?  If the American people truly had any say in this matter, the man or woman who fills this Number 3 position in their Federal Government, would be someone who has exhibited total non-partisanship in his/her approach to representing ALL American citizens.  Unfortunately, word is that 'Jesus' in currently unavailable.  (Current representative here on Earth, need not apply)!

Perhaps when we reach that junction, in a very divided America,  ALL LIVES MATTER, may once again have true meaning for everyone who envisions a future, not only for this country, but for generations which hopefully will assume the awesome responsibility of inspiring a world, which now appears in total turmoil, after a seven year period of current/bizarre U-S leadership.
