Tell us again, why we're suppose to feel sorry for Government employees getting an extended paid holiday...while we taxpayers are working?

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
In his off season, it's rumored
he sometimes supplements that annual, and thankless low paying civilian job,
working as a non-essential government employee.
Working (?) in one of these cushy, and often, lucrative positions, can be a great opportunity
to pack on a few extra pounds he'll need to fit into that colorful Chris Kringle costume kids look forward to each year.

In a few days, we will be ringing in the new year, 2019.  And for most Americans, passing of the old, and bringing forth the new, also carries with it an unfriendly reminder... in a couple of months your Federal Income Taxes will be collected by a friendly IRS agent,* and some of your hard earned dollars will be used to subsidize his/her Federally employed siblings...pictured above.

Sucks to be us!
Working dogs.

Coincidentally, "The Government Is Shut Down, But the IRS Still Collected $21.7 Billion in Taxes."  Details, here: https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/government-shut-irs-still-collected-21-7-billion-taxes/
