Democrats apparently haven't lost their passion for 'Social Distancing.' And the last place you might find any of them was, seated in the back of the bus.

     Plus, they haven't lost their cherished skills to

incite riots, tear down historical statues, break and burn down meaningful National relics.

     From a 2003 edition of The New York Times, we are served a hearty portion of news reporting reality.  A time when ideological preference did not override the importance of reporting historical events as truth and fact.

     The article, authored by Times writer Richard Severo, was in response to news of the death of a former Democratic Georgia Governor, 87 year old Lester Maddox. 

 

     As Severo illustrates in his piece, Maddox, who also served as Lt. Governor alongside, then Governor Jimmy Carter, "vowed he would never serve blacks in his restaurant, and so he sold it."   

 

  

     Severo continues, "Lester Maddox was a well known Atlanta restaurant owner and arch-segregationist who adopted the pick handle as his symbol of defiance in a successful bid for the Georgia governorship in 1966.

     Mr. Maddox first came to national attention in 1964, after he violated the newly signed federal Civil Rights Act by refusing to serve three black Georgia Tech students at his Pickrick Restaurant. The Pickrick was noted for the quality of its fried chicken and for its reasonable prices, but Mr. Maddox was determined that no black should experience the ambience that he had reserved exclusively for whites.

     When the three black men tried to buy some of his chicken in July 1964, Mr. Maddox waved a pistol at them and said: ''You no good dirty devils! You dirty Communists!'' And at the tip of his trusty pistol, sent them packing.

      The Democrat Party severed its ties from the lives of most Americans several decades ago. But Barack Obama's 2008 election to the Presidency, almost assuredly would have (at least) the 'Black voter, voting for Democrats' for at least the next few generations.

      However, when their always reliable Labor Union voters began dwindling, and with a new generation of young voters looking for fresh faces and ideas sympathetic to their futures, the old guard Democrats realized they had to search elsewhere for new blood.

      Suddenly, Black Americans once again found themselves relegated to seats in the back of the bus, only to be replaced by a massive importation of illegal Hispanic voters numbering in the millions, offering newcomers the good seats...Blacks, barely having a chance to break in, erroneously believing this to be their claimed territory. 

      So Black Americans certainly have reason to be pissed off, but rather than rebelling and taking their anger out on fellow citizens, regardless of race, gender, political preference, or whatever.  Their anger is misdirected.

      If they want to get it right, this time.  Perhaps they should be knocking on the front doors of the big plantation houses still occupied by their lifelong oppressors--The Democratic Party.
