Justifiable water boarding?

Regardless of world opinion, perhaps there are instances when intelligence gathering methods such as water boarding might be considered justifiable!

Last week, despite efforts by American state run media to marginalize reports, information surrounding corruption in a major financially supported activist organization came gushing through an already over-plugged dike full of holes.

Association of Community Organization for Reform Now, more commonly known by its acronym ACORN, has been accused of 'crimes ranging from voter fraud to a mob-style "protection' racket." This according to reports in the Washington Times. The latest accusations add additional fuel to a fire already raging out of control. Seriousness of charges against this organization beller for some type of 'credible investigation.'

Michigan Democrat Congressman John Conyers, in his capacity as House Judiciary Committee Chairman had previously said his committee would investigate any allegations of wrong doing by the activist organization, ACORN, but, for reasons only known to this Congressman, he has reneged and appears to have backed away from these plans, with no explaination, other than to insult the American public by saying "The powers that be decided against it," Mr. Conyers told The Washington Times. Some officials offering testimony leading to the original 'investigation' pledge, have been left speechless and 'perplexed.'

The Times quotes a Pittsburgh Lawyer, whose testimony about ACORN regarding alleged voting abuse issues: "If the chair of the Judiciary Committee cannot hold a hearing if he wants to [then] who are the powers that he is beholden to?" she said. "Is it the leadership, is it the White House, is it contributors? Who is 'the power?'"

We can speculate all day who might be 'the power,' but getting the source may be as elusive as pasting an identity on the forehead of 'deep throat!'

Some of my favorite candidates are usual characters seen hanging around here at this blog--Democratic National Committee power structure head (Howard Dean), Senator Harry Reid-Senate Majority Leader, President Barach Obama, and of course, my personal favorite, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U-S House of Representatives. With the exception of President Obama, the other three collectively have a conspiratorial capacity of Barney and Friends, but when you have a complicit media, getting to the truth is increasingly compounded.

We have gone way beyond a time of getting to the truth regarding who might be 'the power!' Attitudes such as these by our elected officials are nothing less than a slap in the face to the American public, as taxpayers, whose money is constantly being squandered by these thieves, consistently operating under a shield of watching out for the nation's under privileged.

If there ever was justification for water boarding, this case screams for increased water pressure. Don't know about you, but my thinking is, find out who 'the Power' is, and there just might be a pile of political rubble remaining behind in Washington.
