Harry Reid 'blessing' not welcome!

Former Tennessee Rep. Harold Ford Jr. -- who switched his address to New York City after an unsuccessful Senate bid in 2006 -- *reportedly will be running against junior New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who replaced Hillary Clinton, after she vacated the position to become Secretary of State under President Barack Obama.

In a newly released book "Game Change," its authors quote Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada as saying privately that Obama, as a black candidate, could be successful thanks, in part, to his "light-skinned" appearance and speaking patterns "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Paraphrasing the Senators buffoonish remarks as they might apply to Representative Ford and his run for the U-S Senate in New York, he should make an impressive 'showing' amongst Liberal Democratic voters in the Empire State.

The New York Times quotes Ford as saying,
'If I am elected senator from New York, Harry Reid will not instruct me how to vote'. (Actually, this is rather clever wording by Mr. Ford, considering any likelihood of Reid even being reelected to the Senate, continuing his quest to dismantle that Liberal den of deceit).

*Ford has not officially announced his candidacy, however this move is merely a formality, with little more effort than a make-shift news conference. (These days, this can come via a 13 year old 'Tweeting' from her Tinkerbell-draped four post bed, located somewhere in the Hamptons).
