"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing."

.....And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.

Excite News - Obama signs 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal

The same lack of intelligence might apply today when observing actions by the usual do-gooders in Washington who 'know not what they are doing!'

Most of those casting their votes to adopt this new military policy wouldn't know the difference of the butt end of an M-16 from a French-laced doily protecting their antique Congressional office coffee tables. Despite recommendations from top Military leaders advising against using our government forces as a social learning experiment, they once again displayed just how little they know about how real people in this country actually live their day to day lives.

No one, including myself (a veteran), believes anyone serving their country should be victim of discrimination, but when you pass 'fuzzy feeling' pieces of legislation such as this, you are not only jeopardizing lives of people on the front lines, but the very fabric of an organization committed to acting as one, and depending on those watching their backs.

These 'I know better than you' legislators have no idea of how this military mechanism works. Some guy from the Ozark hills of Missouri may not be quite as acceptable of his gay San Franciscan comrade's lifestyle. Tolerance levels cannot be dictated by any law passed by a hand-full of snobbish elites who naively believe everything will just work out fine now, merely by us making it so, through passage of equally naive legislation.

Only a matter of time before we begin reading news reports (the few allowed to see light of day) of crimes against openly gay individuals serving in our military.

Thanks again to wisdom of political leaders bent on destroying this once-great country, the former United States of America.
