As a Florida gubernatorial candidate, State Attorney General Crist monikered himself, "Chain-gang Charlie."
When Republican Presidential candidate John McCain 'considered' Crist for the number two spot on the ticket as his vice presidential running mate, rumors circulated about the now-Governor's sexuality. Coincidentally, and shortly after these rumors reared their ugly head, Crist became a heterosexual happily married man.
Now that Chain gang Charlie has dumped the Republican party and decided to run as an Independent candidate for a United States Senatorial Seat, we have the perfect moniker for this perennial 'flip-flopper.'
