Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday (September 14, 2012) shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 48% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns 45% of the vote. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.*
As a courtesy to those of you, like me, who have difficulty reading that small print, let me enlarge those red letters and figures highlighted above:
MITT ROMNEY 48%
PRESIDENT OBAMA 45%
Another courtesy, for my Liberal friends, 48 is more than 45...I think even you, can agree with me on that point. Maybe only a difference of 3 points, and as they say in the world of pollsters, 'it is within the three point margin.' So in all fairness, Mister Romney and President Obama could be considered TIED in their bid for the White House in November.
FLASH: ABC Radio Network News Report, 8 PM, September 14, 2012--"Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is TANKING (once again for my Liberal friends, this would mean ABC is claiming that Mister Romney is looooosing) in crucial States of Virginia, Ohio and Florida."
I did not hear which poll tracking service provided them with these figures. Could have been Joe's Poll for all I know, but lets face it, there are so many people calling themselves pollsters today, they are beginning to out-number self-labeled professional landscaping companies, here in Florida. Seriously though, just for the hell of it, here are just a FEW of the more popular pollster services (tongue-in-cheek) doing business today:
Rasmussen, Pew, YouGov/Polimetrix, Harris Interactive, GWU (Lake/Tarrance), Diageo/Hotline, ARG, CNN, Ipsos/McClatchy, DailyKos.com (D), Research 2000 AP/Yahoo/KN, Democracy Corps (D), FOX , Economist/YouGov, IBD/TIPP, NBC/WSJ, ABC/Post, Marist College, CBS, Gallup, Reuters/ C-SPAN/ Zogby, CBS/Times, Newsweek.
Certainly hope your favorite pollster made the cut. Unfortunately, I don't see Joe's Poll on the list. But one thing jumps out at me from this odd grouping of number counters and comparers-- Rasmussen--by far was the number one pollster in accurately calling the final 2008 Presidential figures; Obama over McCain.
We just naturally assume ABC News and all other major networks and newspapers are in the tank for Obama, so please don't be swayed or discouraged by these phoney lopsided polling results reported by Obama's Media forces.
