Barack Obama surrenders to Russia on Missile Defence

Perhaps most frightening in this new development, isn't reneging on a commitment to European allies...hell, under the Obama Administration, this is a daily occurrence.

And you may even agree with critics supporting this reversal from the previous President's promise. They do make a convincing case; the United States treasury is pretty much empty and if protection is indeed warranted by our European allies, they should make an attempt to 'foot the bill.'

Our technology for such defense systems should readily be available and assistance placing such safeguards also should go unchallenged by all Americans.

What jumped off the page and slapped me in the face when reading this report, was near the end of the article with information about our messengers delivering this unfortunate news to our friends.

One of the bearers of this bad news is one, Ellen Tauscher. Until reading this article in the UK's Telegraph, I had no idea who Ellen Taucher is.

Like so many other political appointments made by a new President, we as average citizens, assume a person is highly qualified to serve in a position of such sensitive importance. Unfortunately as days of this administration pass into future history, we are learning more and more about how political hacks, having absolutely no experience in areas such as this, are immediately elevated in a position where, as in this case, she has no previous qualifications. (Unless you consider a friendship with her new boss, Hillary Clinton).

As always, you be the judge:

Ellen Tausher, Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. Take a few seconds to focus on that title. Try to devour the enormity of responsibilities connected with such a lofty position. Again, glance back at this title. Once again, attempt to visualize what intense training a person filling this position must have endured in order to grab attentions of those in power. Those who would recognize her talents, and with total confidence, hand over international security issues of the United States of America, to this person.

One more time--Ellen Tausher, Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security.

Ellen Tauscher is a 1974 graduate of Seton Hall University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. Ear---ly C-h-i-l-d-h-o-o-d Ed---ucation! Early Childhood Education.

To his credit, President Obama is a very strong supporter of programs for children from birth through age 5--before entering the rat race of life in elementary school. So it goes without saying, we should have the most qualified people in positions molding these individuals into what will become our leaders of tomorrow.

No doubt Ellen Tausher is a very nice person. Even the reservoir of knowledge reaped from her years spend in the House of Representative, probably served as a strong foundation for what might justify elevation to a higher future position with an administration's...say.... Education Department.

Not good enough for this administration, already overflowing with lightweights. I rest my case...please read this Telegraph article. However, before you do, I leave you with this parting thought:

Ellen Tausher, Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security.
