Barack Obama views Netanyahu as a "political coward"--Is it possible, he still has not gotten over BiBi's brother-in-law labeling him an ANTI-SEMITE!*--and were those charges unwarranted

In March of 2010, Hagai Ben-Artair in an interview with Israel Army Radio said his brother-in-law should learn from previous Israeli prime ministers.

"Once the Americans tried to intervene in anything related to Jerusalem we told them one simple word: 'No'," he explained.
               "dislikes the people of Israel"
Mr Obama, he added, not only disliked Mr Netanyahu personally, but "dislikes the people of Israel".
"For 20 years, Obama sat with Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who is anti-Semitic, anti-Israeli, and anti-Jewish." He said it was clear Mr Obama agreed with Rev Wright because he had remained a member of his congregation.

"Think about it. If you had heard of someone who for 20 years sat in church and heard anti-Semitic sermons and didn't get up to leave after two weeks, wouldn't you think he identifies with it?" he asked.
"...there is an anti-Semitic president in America"
"As a politician running for presidency he had to hide it, but it comes out every time and I think we just have to say it plainly - there is an anti-Semitic president in America," he said.

A very serious charge, indeed!
Is Barack Obama, or Reverend Wright for that matter anti-Semitic?

Ben-Artair's branding of Obama as an anti-Semite had to be an embarrassment to Netanyahu in 2010, and no doubt led to the US President's icy receptions which followed.  Many would agree, Obama's guilt by association with Jeremiah Wright comments were totally misplaced and calling him anti-Semitic unwarranted.

Following that unfortunate episode, privately Ben-Artair was probably advised to weigh content of words used by others before using his own inflammatory and disparaging remarks.

Jewish people, namely Israelis, are the
“descendants of apes and pigs."

Malicious comments from Mohamed Morsi, the President of Egypt are better suited for labeling anti-Semitic, when he declared, Jewish people, namely Israelis, are the “descendants of apes and pigs."

Now, President Obama's choice for his next Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel has also had anti-Semitic charges leveled against him. However, Hagel's comments hardly can be interpreted as anti-Semitic.  You be the judge.

“The political reality is … that the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people up here. I have always argued against some of the dumb things they do because I don’t think it’s in the interest of Israel. I just don’t think it’s smart for Israel.”

Once again it is imperative to point out, those making these charges should weigh content of words used by others (Morsi) before using their own inflammatory and disparaging remarks.

Unrestrained labeling as “Anti-Semite” can be so uncontrollably discharged, to the extent where it is threatening, not only in its duplicity but it diminishes what true anti-Semitic comments, regurgitated by the likes of a Morsi Jackass, says about his inbred beliefs and 'by association,' how they reflect on Egyptian political and social mentality, including his Islamic counterparts worldwide.

Obama has not visited Israel since taking office four years ago, although there has been speculation about a possible trip in the upcoming Summer.  Perhaps it would be prudent for these two recently re-elected leaders to 'hit the restart button,' and begin working together as one, because in the end, we have mutual interests--on both sides of the pond.

We can only hope there is sincere substance in these words delivered by Obama in 2011.

"America's commitment to Israel's security is unshakeable, and our friendship with Israel is deep and enduring.....Israel, a small country of less than eight million people, looks out at a world where leaders of much larger nations threaten to wipe it off of the map. The Jewish people carry the burden of centuries of exile, persecution, and the fresh memory of knowing that six million people were killed simply because of who they were."
