Obama's mother-in-law makes the final call...but no one was listening....

....that's right, Marian Robinson, mother of First Lady Michelle Robinson Obama, let us in on her inside information a few weeks ago, but who was paying any attention.

Apparently, Mrs. Robinson inadvertently spilled the beans when....wait, wait...maybe some appropriate background music would be a nice touch while you continue reading.  Go ahead....click on the start button, enjoy, listen and read on:
....as I was saying, Mrs. Robinson, as the story goes, was chatting in her local beauty salon, and maybe gave the girls a bit more information than they needed to know.  Anyway, other websites around the internet are reporting, that chatty Mrs. Robinson

was "bragging about getting to live in Hawaii next, in a $35 million beachfront mansion after leaving the White House in January 2013.  "It was fun while it lasted", Miss Marian is quoted as saying, "but wait until you see the place they're buying for Michelle and Barack!"

And who might be those 'they' people Marian is referring to with such deep pockets?  According to wnd.com,  "Obama’s chief financier, Penny Pritzker, has entered the Hawaii housing market to buy a retirement home for the president and his family that will be available not in 2016, but in January 2013, according to a confidential source within Pritzker’s Chicago organization."

Pritzker, a wealthy Chicago business executive and heiress to the Hyatt Hotels fortune, served as national finance chairman for Obama’s 2008 campaign and is the co-chairman of his 2012 effort.

The source told WND that "highly confidential internal polls conducted by the Obama campaign indicate Obama cannot win re-election, despite public surveys that show him in the lead."

“The public polls are mostly political,” the source argued. “Obama radicals want Romney supporters to feel discouraged and give up. Truth is that Romney is winning.”

This same site also features pictures of the 'alleged, possible, if Unicorns are real, etc., etc., etc., estate being considered.

Anytime internet sources are quoted, you are faced with answering numerous questions about the writer's credibility.  Perhaps a more logical conclusion is... the Obamas may indeed be in the housing market, searching for a permanent residence (4 years from now), but at today's bargain basement home prices, why not snatch up a $40 million bungalow when it is begging for a new family with a ridiculously low price tag of $35 Million.

WND reports further,  "Pritzker is telling potential donors that the Obamas have no intention of returning to Chicago when they leave the White House, according to the source.  She is also raising money for the Obama presidential library and museum, which also are slated for Hawaii.  Pritzker’s search for a developed property, suitable for occupancy four months from now, instead of property where a custom-designed estate might be built, is further indication that insiders believe Obama will not be re-elected."

So, all this gossip attributed to Mrs. Robinson could be nothing more than a Democratic political tool to lull voters into believing Obama has given up on his quest to remain in the White House for another four years, and are putting this fabricated story out via, an unlikely source in the person of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Robinson.

During my brief stretch working around the news business, I personally believed  if you look deeply into the wildest story, considered by your colleagues to be complete fantasy and gossip, you will find some truth in the tale.  It is up to a motivated reporter to do his job and sort fact from fiction.

One fact is certain, following Tuesday's Presidential vote, we will have answers to many of the gossipy glossed anecdotes floated around for much of the past four years.

And on January 20, 2013, you have the following scenarios taking shape.  The Romneys will be stepping down to move into a stately, but antiquated building to call home for at least the next four years.  And the Obamas will be catapulted into the lap of luxury, living a life of leisure, sipping Mai Tais, basking on their private beach of their second-hand $35 million dive in paradise.  Many, including myself, have underestimated the ingenuity of Barack H. Obama.

However, until all the votes are in, hopefully sometime after the polls close on November 6th, I'm playing it safe, regardless of what the girls down at the local beauty shop are quoting Mrs. Robinson as saying.
However, come what may, here's to you Mrs. Robinson.  As that famous American comedian Bob Hope used to sign off each show, 'THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.'

Hope you enjoyed the tune, compliments of Simon and Garfunkel.
